Sandy grew up in Malvern, PA training in the Vaganova Method at International Ballet Theater Academy under Jaelyn Fellona. In her early dance career, she has competed and won awards at various competitions including Youth America Grand Prix and World Ballet Competition. After high school, Sandy found a happy medium between her commitment to dance and academics at Columbia University. There, she continued to hone her performance skills and artistry through the various ballet groups including Columbia Ballet Collaborative (CBC), Columbia Repertory Ballet (CRB), Columbia University Ballet Ensemble (CUBE), and Barnard Dance Department, later holding leadership positions at CBC (PR Director) and CRB (Co-director). Sandy has interned with Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital and Pfizer Oncology Scientific Publications team. After graduating, she served as a clinical assistant at Generation Next Fertility, worked at Solebury Strategic Communications as an corporate communications and investor relations analyst on the Life Sciences team, and clinical research assistant at the Hospital for Special Surgery. After 3 gap years, Sandy is now an MD candidate at Penn State College of Medicine and loving it! Sandy is interested in and happy to chat about careers in the healthcare sector from clinical to corporate. She is always open to speaking about her experience and philosophizing about highs and lows of the ballet world.
