Second Act is a unique and dynamic network of talented, young professionals united by a shared passion for dance and the performing arts. Our members come from a wide range of dance backgrounds and have achieved success in various industries. Driven by a desire to assist others, we take pride in our diversity and accomplishments, and strive to create a supportive and inclusive community that has a nationwide footprint.

Dancer Tuition Discount | Fordham University

Any full-time professional dancer (New York City Ballet, and other companies, i.e., American Ballet Theater) is eligible for the Dancer Discount, 33% off tuition!

The Encore Fund aims to close the financial gap between professional dancers and their transitions into higher education opportunities. Through our scholarship awards and mentorship partnerships, we strive to set dancers up for success in their next chapters.
LEAP Program, Saint Mary's College of California
The LEAP (Liberal Education for Arts Professionals) Program is a Bachelor's in Performing Arts online degree completion program uniquely designed for current and former professional dancers. LEAP provides remote and affordable higher education of exceptional quality with a part-time, low-impact class schedule.
NAACP Powershift Entrepreneur Grant

The NAACP Powershift Entrepreneur Grant aims to empower Black entrepreneurs and businesses through funding and resources and has, in previous years, contributed largely to the growth of Black businesses across the nation.

NAACP Keep It Local Business Fund
The NAACP and the Nextdoor Kind Foundation will award 20 U.S. small business owners of color microgrants from the Keep It Local Business Fund, in partnership with Hello Alice. The grant program previously awarded a total of $100,000 in microgrants to entrepreneurs, enabling them to help strengthen and support communities at a local level. This is the first phase of the Foundation's commitment to providing local grants to help neighbors strengthen their local communities.
