Robyn Jutsum grew up in Minneapolis, MN where she trained at Ballet Arts of Minnesota and Minnesota Dance Theatre and School under the direction and coaching of Lirena Branitski, Gloria Govrin, Lise Houlton, Bonnie Mathis, and Julia Sutter. She spent summers training at School of American Ballet, Kaatsbaan, and Joffrey Chicago. Robyn attended Butler University as a Dance Major and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Journalism in 2016. Following graduation, Robyn moved to New York and began her freelance career while participating in Steps on Broadway’s Work/Study Program and teaching for All Star Studios in Forest Hills, Queens. She has worked on several independent projects including work with Sevin Ceviker and danced with Eglevsky Ballet (Long Island) under the direction of Maurice Brandon Curry. While freelancing, Robyn served as Social Media Manager and later Marketing and Customer Relations Manager for Rachel Neville Photography in LIC before joining Gaynor Minden in 2019. In 2020, she began part-time as a dance fitness instructor and Social Media Manager for The Ballet Spot, an adult ballet fitness hybrid, bi-coastal studio founded by Eliza Tollett. In the same year, she began a certificate program through NYU’s School of Professional Studies in Non-profit Arts Management, and in November of 2021 joined Gaynor Minden’s Marketing Team. Robyn currently lives in New York where she works full-time at Gaynor Minden and teaches and does content creation part-time for The Ballet Spot. In her downtime, she enjoys cooking, baking, and dancing her way through the city!
