Mariah Hesser

Mariah Hesser was born in New York City and began dancing at age three. She received her early ballet training at Greenwich Ballet Academy in Greenwich, CT, in addition to summer intensives at American Ballet Theater. After attending the School of American Ballet's Summer Course at age 12, she was invited to return for the full-time program. Mariah trained at SAB for the next six years while balancing a full academic course load, ultimately making the decision to apply to college instead of focusing on a professional ballet career.

During her final year at SAB, she was accepted to Barnard College at Columbia University, where she was an active member of the dance community on campus; she graduated in 2023 with Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. She is now based in San Francisco and works as an analyst at the investment bank PJT Partners.
