Kallee grew up in Maine where she began dancing at the age of three. She primarily trained at the Maine State Ballet school and eventually joined the affiliated company, with which she became a principal soloist. She also attended summer intensives at the School of American Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Joffrey Ballet.
In 2020, Kallee transferred to Columbia University to focus on her academics. She graduated in 2022 with a BS in Applied Physics as well as minors in Applied Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering.
Kallee spent 2 years working as a physical scientist at the space startup LeoLabs before transitioning to her current role at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Her work has focused on collision avoidance and sustainability in space.
