B.A. in Communications with a Concentration in Critical Journalism, University of Pennsylvania

Jackie Callahan began her dance training at the Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia, PA. She trained there for ten years before moving to New York City to continue her training at the School of American Ballet and attend the Professional Performing Arts School. When she graduated high school early, she attended Fordham University part-time while she finished her final years of training.

In 2014, Jackie joined the second company at the Philadelphia Ballet. At this time, she began part-time studies at the University of Pennsylvania working towards a degree in Communications. Shortly after graduating from Penn, Jackie was elected as the AGMA delegate for the artists union at the ballet. Her role as the delegate inspired her to pursue a secondary career in law. She applied to Temple University Beasley School of Law, part-time evening program and was accepted in the spring of 2024.

Jackie is now a soloist at Philadelphia Ballet and has just completed her first year of law school at Temple Law. She believes that being an artist has not only helped her stand out on applications but has taught her invaluable skills about dedication, work-ethic, and perseverance that has helped her succeed in academic and workplace settings.
