Jackie Callahan

Soloist with Philadelphia Ballet
J.D. Candidate, Temple University Beasley School of Law
B.A. in Communications with a Concentration in Critical Journalism, University of Pennsylvania

I began my classical ballet training at the Rock School in Philadelphia and the School of American Ballet in New York. I joined the Philadelphia Ballet in 2014, where I am now a Soloist, and earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020 while dancing full-time. While working at the ballet I serve as the union delegate for the dancers under the American Guild of Musical Artists. I always knew I wanted to go back to school and my experience as a union delegate sparked my interest in labor law. Now I am pursuing my law degree part-time at Temple Law and plan to graduate in 2028. During my time off from dancing the past few summers I have been able to gain legal experience at the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and this summer as a law clerk at Willig, Williams and Davidson. When I retire from the stage I plan to become a labor lawyer!
