Brianna Zamechansky

Inpatient Physical Therapist, Brain Injury Unit, Kessler Institut for Rehabilitation
DPT- Doctor of Physical Therapy; University of Delaware
BFA- Dance Performance; Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University

Brianna grew up in the suburbs of North New Jersey, and grew up training and dancing at a local dance studio. Brianna earned a BFA in Dance Performance in 2017 from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. While training at Mason Gross, she spent a year abroad in London training at the Laban Conservatoire of Dance. During her senior year she also earned a Pilates for Rehabilitation certificate from Polestar Pilates. After college she danced in New York City in numerous small projects while teaching Pilates full time at two studios and recovering from a shoulder reconstructive surgery due to an injury. It was during this time that Brianna decided she wanted to further her education and apply to Physical Therapy school due to her work in post-rehab fitness. Brianna simultaneously went to night school part time to complete the science pre-requisites necessary for PT school admission and built/opened her own boutique Pilates studio, Figtree Pilates.

Brianna then attended The University of Delaware for Physical Therapy school, ranked #1 by U.S. news & world report. While a student at UD, she did clinical rotations in Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and Spinal Cord Injury Rehab. Upon graduating and passing her boards in December of 2023, Brianna got a position as an Inpatient Physical Therapist at The Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation where she continues to work. She had done a rotation on the General/Stroke Unit and is currently working on their Brain Injury Unit.
