Ester Wells

Ester is a native New Yorker and began dancing at 2 years old. She trained with the American Ballet Theatre in New York, the Bolshoi Ballet in Russia, the Paris Opera in France and the Royal Ballet School Antwerp in Belgium and was a three-time finalist of the international Youth America Grand Prix. At 14, she decided to transition away from a professional ballet career and study journalism.

 

She has reported for local outlets in New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Wisconsin, and nationally with ABC News and POLITICO. In 2021, she graduated from Northwestern University with both her Bachelor's in Journalism and Political Science and her Master's in Video/Broadcast Journalism. She now works at Planned Parenthood, building out a national news team and reporting on abortion litigation and legislation.
