Originally from Washington, DC, Sasha Perkins began her training at the Maryland Youth Ballet before joining The Washington Ballet's Pre-Professional Division under Xiomara Reyes and Julie Kent. She has attended summer intensives at the Houston Ballet and San Francisco Ballet, where she received scholarships, as well as at the Joffrey Ballet, The Royal Ballet School, Dance Theater of Harlem, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Ballet West.
After graduating from high school in 2022, Sasha began her studies at Barnard College with majors in Economics and History. At Barnard, she has worked with choreographers such as Troy Schumacher and Houston Thomas, and she dances with Columbia Repertory Ballet as well as Columbia Ballet Collaborative, where she currently serves as the Executive Director. Sasha has also studied at the London School of Economics, concentrating in international political economy, and she is currently a JP Morgan Summer Fellow in their Corporate Investment Bank.
