Madeleine Purcell is a former professional ballet dancer from Connecticut. She trained at Connecticut Dance School, Ballet Academy East and American Ballet Theatre's JKO School. Her training was supplemented by attending summer intensives including San Francisco Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre (NYC), Boston Ballet, and The Royal Ballet, among others. Her background includes dancing corps and soloist roles with Sarasota Ballet, Tivoli Ballet Theatre (Denmark), and Oklahoma City Ballet, as well as some freelance work. After retiring from dance in 2020, she embraced her passion for teaching, and seeks to bring a special attention to the social-emotional health of her students. She currently serves as the Ballet Director of Sweet Yield Studio in Oklahoma City, and is on faculty at Oklahoma City Ballet's Yvonne Chouteau School. She earned her BS in psychology from the University of Oklahoma in 2022, and has successfully completed levels Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT®️ National Training Curriculum.
